APRIL 28, 2026 – Following a successful opening last year in West Carrollton, Culver’s is now laying plans to open another Dayton-area location, this time in Sugarcreek Township on the western edge of Greene County, according to a story by Lauren Steen, Staff Reporter at Dayton Business Journal.  Culver’s recently filed for a building permit with Greene County to open a 4,300 square-foot restaurant at 6242 Wilmington Pike in front of Walmart Supercenter in Sugarcreek Plaza II.  The location was last home to Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, operated by Cincinnati, OH-based Gilligan Company.  Scott Saddlemire and Danielle Levi of OnSite Retail Group represented Gilligan Company in the transaction, and Culver’s franchisee, MD Restaurant Group, was also represented by Saddlemire and David Sheehy of OnSite Retail Group.  Culver’s was founded in Wisconsin in 1984 and is best known for their signature ButterBurger and frozen custard treats.  The chain has grown to over 900 restaurants across 26 states by 2025.  Click here to read the full story in Dayton Business Journal: Culver’s to open at Sugarcreek Plaza II in Greene County – Dayton Business Journal
