The TJX Companies plan 146 new stores in 2026

March 4, 2026

March 4, 2026 – The TJX Companies have rather ambitious growth plans.  In 2026, the international retailer based in Framingham, MA plans to open 146 net-new stores, bringing the chain’s total to 5,300 physical locations worldwide.  But it seems there is still room to grow.  In a recent conference call with investors, TJX President and CEO Ernie Herrman indicated the company’s worldwide store count could potentially reach 7,000.  Last week, Adam Blair of Retail TouchPoints reported on the retailer’s growth and wrote, “The retailer’s confidence has been buoyed by strong Q4 and FY 2026 results. Net sales for Q4, which ended Jan. 31, 2026, were $17.7 billion, a 9% increase over the same period in Q4 2025, with comparable sales rising 5%. For the full year, net sales of $60.4 billion represented a 7% increase over the previous year, with comparable sales also rising 5%.”  Scott Saddlemire and Eric Abroms of OnSite Retail Group represent The TJX Companies, aiding them in site selection across the Greater Cincinnati, Dayton and Columbus, OH regions.  Click here to read the full story: TJX Plans 146 New Stores This Year, Eyes Goal of 7,000 Stores Globally – Retail TouchPoints
