Dunkin’ celebrates grand reopening in Springfield

October 6, 2025

OCTOBER 6, 2025 – The nearly two month wait is almost over as the Dunkin’ on 1931 S. Limestone Street in Springfield reopens following extensive renovations and upgrades.  The grand reopening celebration will happen on Tuesday, October 7th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am.  A ribbon-cutting with city officials will happen at 10:00 am.  Second Harvest Food Bank, will receive a check from Gilligan Company, the Dunkin’ franchisee, and customers will have the opportunity to spin a prize wheel for Dunkin’ swag.  And last but not least, “Sprinkles”, the Dunkin’ mascot, will be making a guest appearance to pose for photo opportunities.  Brooke Spurlock, Staff Writer for Dayton Dail News, posted a story recently with details on the event and improvements to the store.  Spurlock quoted a spokesperson who said, “This is more than just a celebration — it’s a thank-you to the Springfield community that runs on Dunkin’ every day.”  Spurlock added, “Dunkin’, which opened in 2015, has been closed for six weeks to be updated with NextGen Branding, according to a spokesperson from the Gilligan Company, which owns the Springfield Dunkin’ location.  In 2018, Inspire Brands, the parent company of Dunkin’, revamped the branding, dropping the “Donuts,” and created the NextGen Branding for the coffee locations.”  Click here to read the full story: https://edition.pagesuite.com/popovers/dynamic_article_popover.aspx?guid=94e0884c-e394-4439-9f97-fc25e37124ae&pbid=66ab59ea-5cfc-438d-83e4-dc9e4a34f79d&share=true&appcode=DDNFEE&utm_source=app.pagesuite&utm_medium=app-interaction&utm_campaign=pagesuite-epaper-html5_share-article
