In a recent article by Shoshy Ciment of Footwear News, many retailers are looking to grow their store counts in 2022. “Discount chains, in particular, are on the upswing, with some chains announcing plans to open hundreds of new locations in the upcoming year,” wrote Ciment.

One of those retailers is The TJX Companies, an OnSite Retail Group client, and the parent behind T.J. Maxx, HomeGoods, Marshalls, Sierra and HomeSense. Ciment commented on TJX’s plans by saying, “In a call with investors, TJX CFO Scott Goldenberg said the company plans to open more than 170 stores in 2022 with plans to remodel existing stores as well.”
