New tenants to be announced for Xenia retail development
March 18, 2021A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes on a new retail development in Xenia, OH just east of Dayton. John Bush, Senior Reporter at Dayton Business Journal posted a story today writing, “Anchored by an Aldi store that opened in the summer of 2020, the multi-million dollar development along U.S. 35 (West Main Street) is set to welcome several new tenants this year. Cincinnati-based OnSite Retail Group is the leasing agent for the project on behalf of BSM Development, a Nashville developer that purchased the nearly 17-acre site in March 2019. While activity slowed in 2020 because of the pandemic, OnSite Retail Group Principal Andrew Feinblatt said things started to pick back up toward the end of the year. Now into 2021, Feinblatt says they are close to signing three deals for a combination of end users in the retail and restaurant industries.”
Feinblatt explained to Bush, “I’m not exaggerating when I say we have more interest than we have land. Out of the gate, our focus has been on retail and restaurants, but what’s been interesting is that we’ve received interest from other types of commercial businesses as well,” he said. Feinblatt said the rest of the property could be developed with additional freestanding buildings or a strip center that would accommodate multiple tenants.
“I think this project is a huge win for the city and residents of Greene County,” Feinblatt said. “We’re thrilled to be a part of this project, and are excited about what it brings to the community. We’re feeling very positive about filling out the project this year, and providing what we see as an attractive addition to the community.”
