ThePacker.com: Aldi fares well in supermarket experience survey

As reported in a December 22nd article in the grocery industry publication The Packer, Aldi is more likely to be recommended by consumers than traditional supermarkets according to a study by the Retail Feedback Group. The favorable results may very well be directly related to the $1.6 billion investment Aldi committed to remodeling and expanding 1,300 U.S. stores by 2020.  On the heels of that announcement, Aldi came forth and committed another $3.4 billion to expand to 2,500 stores by the end of 2022. As quoted in The Packer, “With so many stores getting makeovers and new locations popping up, it makes sense that the newness factor could be spurring recommendations.”
