The Lockard project in OTR is underway
April 27, 2026April 27, 2026 – The Lockard project in Cincinnati’s Over-the-Rhine neighborhood is finally underway. Brian Planalp of Cincinnati Business Courier contributed a story last week writing, “Project partners Urban Sites and Triversity Construction on April 17 joined Cincinnati Mayor Aftab Pureval, Western & Southern CEO John Barrett and others to break ground on the Lockard, a project Pureval said “reinforces the exceptional momentum we have in Over-the-Rhine’s revitalization.” The $35 million mixed-use project, involving a five-story new structure built around four-story historic buildings that will be renovated and restored, occupies the southeast corner of Liberty and Walnut streets.”
Planalp, describing the Lockard added, “It will bring 129 apartments, 20 units income-restricted to 80% of the area median income, and nearly 3,500 square feet of commercial space, including a restored Grammer’s Bar.” OnSite Retail Group is pleased to offer for lease a freestanding, two-story building at 1415 Walnut Street, which is also owned by OnSite Retail Group client, Urban Sites, and is right across the street from the Lockard project. OnSite listing agents Josh Rothstein and Haleigh Jones were thrilled to see the groundbreaking on the Lockard. Their listing at 1415 Walnut Street offers 2,240 square feet on two floors and sits on a lot surrounded by over 80 parking spaces, making it perfect for a restaurant, bar or retail space.
