Dayton Business Journal: GetGo proposes first Dayton-area location

April 27, 2023

A popular Pittsburgh, PA-based gas & convenience store operator is planning to expand into the Dayton region, and the first location could be in West Carrollton.  Nicole Mistretta, Data Reporter at Dayton Business Journal, posted a story on April 22nd with the breaking news.  In her story Mistretta wrote, “A GetGo fueling station, convenience store and drive-through has been proposed at 2100 S Alex Road in West Carrollton. To make room for the 24-hour 6,300-square-foot store and six double-sided fuel pumps, a former U.S. Bank will be demolished.”  GetGo reportedly is in contract with a lease on 1.6 acres of the Imperial Shopping Center at the corner of S. Alex Road and Watertower Lane.  Mistretta continued, “The development is anticipated to provide numerous new employment opportunities to the area and redevelop the infilled commercial site, breathing new life into the shopping center which is suffering from vacant tenant spaces.”

GetGo, which is owned by the Giant Eagle grocery chain, operates more than 260 locations across 5 states.  GetGo is being represented in the transaction and across the Dayton region by Eric Abroms, Jeff Smith and David Sheehy of Cincinnati-based OnSite Retail Group.  Click here to read the full story: Dayton Business Journal: GetGo proposes first Dayton-area location
