The Eagle & Bakersfield restaurants coming to The District of Deerfield

March 6, 2023

In case you missed the breaking news on Friday, The District of Deerfield is adding two restaurants to its exciting lineup of tenants.  Thunderdome Restaurant Group plans to open two of their most popular restaurants – this time, in the northeastern Cincinnati, OH suburb of Deerfield Township near Mason, OH, in a new $150 million mixed-use development.  Thunderdome Restaurant Group will open The Eagle Food & Beer Hall and Bakersfield restaurants to the new development known as District at Deerfield.  The District already features apartments and a Mercy Health medical office building, but will soon add retail space, and a public square to be developed by Silverman & Co. on another 12-acre parcel in Deerfield Township.

Andy Brownfield, Senior staff reporter at Cincinnati Business Courier noted in story on March 3, “The District at Deerfield marks the first suburban Cincinnati locations for Thunderdome’s Eagle and Bakersfield restaurants. They join anchor entertainment tenants Fifty West Brewing Co., which is opening a brewery and burger bar with pickleball and volleyball courts; and Pins Mechanical Co., which houses lanes of duckpin bowling and pinball and arcade machines.  Brownfield quoted Thunderdome co-founder, Joe Lanni, telling Brownfield, “They’ve done an excellent job attracting some co-tenants there, this thing is going to be the sum of all parts, and they’ve got all the parts in place.”

Josh Rothstein and Jeff Smith of OnSite Retail Group based in Cincinnati, OH are handling the marketing and leasing for The District at Deerfield. Rothstein told Brownfield,  “Securing our leases with Bakersfield and the Eagle further proves the point that there’s plenty of demand for these fun, urban concepts to expand out to the suburbs,” Rothstein told me. “With Thunderdome, Fifty West and Pins leading the charge, we’re excited about the other retailers and restaurants who’ll follow their lead in opening up a location at the District.”  Subscribers can read Brownfield’s full story here: The Eagle & Bakersfield restaurants coming to The District of Deerfield
