The plans for a new Xenia retail development move forward

May 8, 2019

Cecilia Salomone, Staff Reporter at Dayton Business Journal, contributed a story yesterday to update readers on the new Aldi-anchored project at the city of Xenia’s western gateway. Salomone wrote, “A building permit application valued at $2.2 million was recently filed for the future Aldi store on West Main Street in Xenia, according to Greene County property records. The 19,200-square-foot store is part of a multi-tenant development, which will occupy around 14 acres in western Xenia near Greene Way Boulevard.”

Cincinnati-based OnSite Retail Group will handle the marketing and leasing for the developer, BSM Development. A final site plan has yet to be approved for the mixed-use center, but as Salomone stated in her story, “OnSite Principal Andrew Feinblatt described the Xenia acreage as “very well-situated” because of its close proximity to U.S. 35 and to existing stores, including Walmart, Kroger and Lowe’s. “It has a ton of frontage and traffic visibility,” Feinblatt said. “For retail and restaurants, everybody wants to be seen.”
