Cincinnati Business Courier: EXCLUSIVE: Bungee gym coming to Oakley

March 6, 2019

Josh Rothstein of OnSite Retail Group brokered another new lease in Oakley, and as a result, a former dancer now plans to bring a unique fitness concept to Cincinnati’s Oakley neighborhood this summer. As Andy Brownfield, Reporter at Cincinnati Business Courier, wrote in his story today, “Jaclyn Kolianos plans to open Fly Bungee Fitness in 1,400 square feet at 4820 Ridge Avenue in Oakley. Kolianos discovered bungee fitness while on a trip to Florida with a fellow dancer.”

In the article, Kolianos describes it as “a whole new kind of work out, and it’s fun.” She also said the workout puts less impact on your body.

In his story, Brownfield described the new concept which involves harnesses and bungee cords. “At Fly Bungee Fitness participants will be strapped into a harness, much like a rock climbing harness, which is attached to a pair of bungee cords affixed to the facility’s 20-foot ceiling. Different classes will be offered at varying levels of skill, including a dance-themed class. She said the reduced resistance offered by the bungee cords make it ideal exercise for people with disorders like cerebral palsy, who are missing limbs, who are overweight or who face other barriers to exercise.”

Joshua Rothstein, Retail Specialist with OnSite Retail Group was quoted in the story, as saying “It’s a great use for the space, and for Oakley.”
